  • United Airlines launched a non-stop San Francisco-Xi'an route in May 2016, marking Xi'an's first trans-Pacific route without intermediate stops.
  • The service operates three weekly flights: UA853 departs San Francisco at 13:25 every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, arriving in Xi'an at 17:30 the next day. Return flight UA852 departs Xi'an at 09:30 every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, arriving in San Francisco at 06:35.
  • The route utilizes Boeing 787-8 aircraft configured with two classes: 36 Business Class seats and 183 Economy Class seats, including 70 Economy Plus seats with extra legroom.
  • The flight schedule facilitates convenient connections at San Francisco International Airport, where United operates over 250 daily flights to more than 90 destinations across North America, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean.
  • This new route strengthens United's presence in China, complementing existing services to Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, and Hong Kong.
